It's always surreal for me when I hear famous songs by famous artists in person. Part of me forgets that I'm working, because I just want to sit back as a fan and watch. That's what happened when Steve Earle performed 'Guitar Town' at Beartrap Summer Festival 2012. Check out this video of his classic song.
FACT: Every music group has needs. FACT: It is the responsibility of the festival/venue staff to accommodate those needs... particularly if there is a contract dictating the terms of those needs. With that in mind, more often than not, our headliners require some food following their sets on the Beartrap stage - and we're more than happy to help out.
Have you ever had a moment when you are so giddy with excitement, you can barely contain yourself? Well, welcome to my life as it relates to Steve Earle coming to Beartrap Summer Festival! I believe you've never fully enjoyed an artist or their songs until you see them live, and even a live video from YouTube obviously doesn't do justice
So, Steve Earle, Mr. “Folk, Rock, Country, Blues” (depending on whose review I’m reading) man, you’ve delivered your Texas-Style tunes for over 25 years. That’s 13 studio albums, 6 live albums, 7 compilations, 23 (charted) singles and 13 music videos (and counting…)
Country, rock, folk - it's hard to put Steve Earle in any particular "box" or genre. He's a little bit of all of the above, and a little bit more - a unique musical concoction that truly makes for an original one-of-a-kind performer. Casper's set to get a taste of Steve (and his "Dukes") when they make it to Beartrap on Sunday, August 5.
