The Littlest Birds

littlestbirds.net

The Littlest Birds are a nationally acclaimed cello and banjo duo with a unique sound and powerful songwriting.  It turns out that banjo player, Sharon Martinson was born and raised right here in Casper, Wyoming, and grew up playing the french horn.  Cellist, David Huebner, on the other hand comes from Los Angeles, California where he studied classical music, and joined his first professional orchestra in the ninth grade.  The seemingly unlikely meeting of these two individuals occurred in the Eastern Sierra of California where Huebner had been living since graduating high school, and Martinson was working on a post-doctoral ecology project. The beautiful union of cello and banjo was apparent from the first note, and they have been touring ever since including an international performance at this years prestigious Vancouver Folk Festival in Canada.
