Cowboy Troy

Troy
Hey!  First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my page and getting to know me a little bit.  You won’t be sorry. I’m Cowboy Troy. I was born right here in Casper, Wyoming, and brought up in the shadow of the Teapot Dome in the light crude producing region known as the Salt Creek Oilfields. I like to think that I am Wyoming. I love country music and its roots. I love performing as well.  I have a degree in theatre and have been performing on various Casper stages for over twenty years. I also am an accomplished drummer and have played music all over the region for the same amount of time. My other hobbies include stand-up comedy, singing, karate, annoying people, and Legos. I hope these so called “talents” help draw you in, and make your My Country listening experience one that you won’t ever forget. Thanks for listening!

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s ‘Fishin’ Goes Gold

Congratulations go out to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band! Not only do they know what the top of Casper Mountain looks like, but their hit single, Fishin' In The Dark has become the band's first ever gold digital download. Woo Hoo!!

I remember the first time that i ever listened to that song. The year was 1987. We were in 'Shorty's' sister's car, piled five high, and doing our usual weekend rounds, which consisted mainly of staying on the oil field roads and looking for others to share in the weekend festivities. We must've played it no less than 30 times that night, and I would become an instant fan of the band that I had had no recollection of before this fateful night. Read More...
